Abstract (en)
A device consisting of a twin belt casting ingot mould with a wedge-shaped inlet area and a molten metal feed for the manufacture of steel belt cross sections. The molten metal feed comprises at least one tubular pouring nozzle (14) of refractory ceramic, which, being of at least partially wedge-shaped form in the longitudinal direction, has a tubular section (14a) adapted over part of its length to the cross section of the inlet area (E), continuing as a shute section (14c) in the direction of pouring and side wall sections (14'') rising above this, the end region (14h) of which is roughly equal to the height (H) of the mould. The sides of the mould chamber (5) are defined by journal-like projections (3c, 4c) of rectangular cross section, which project between the casting belts. The projections are an integral part of the continuous side walls rotating with the casting belts which are held at the sides next to the casting belts. <IMAGE>

Vorrichtung bestehend aus einer Doppelbandgießkokille mit einem keilförmigen Einlaufbereich und einer Schmelzenzuführung für die Herstellung von Bandquerschnitten aus Stahl. Die Schmelzenzuführung besteht aus zumindest einer rohrförmigen Gießdüse (14) aus Feuerfestkeramik, die in Längsrichtung zumindest teilweise keilförmig ausgebildet einen über einen Teil seiner Längserstreckung an den Querschnittsverlauf des Einlaufbereichs (E) angepaßten Rohrabschnitt (14a), einen sich in Gießrichtung anschließenden Rinnenabschnitt (14c) und über diesen vorkragende Seitenwandabschnitte (14") aufweist, deren Endbereich (14h) in etwa der Kokillenraumhöhe (H) entspricht. Die Seitenbegrenzung im Bereich des Kokillenraums (5) besteht aus zapfenartigen, im Querschnitt rechteckförmigen Vorsprüngen (3c, 4c), welche zwischen die Gießbänder hineinragen. Die Vorsprünge sind Bestandteil der mit den Gießbändern umlaufenden endlosen Seitendämme, die seitlich neben den Gießbändern gehalten sind.
