[origin: US4872404A] A press for expressing liquids from liquid-containing substances, especially musts, contains an at least partially cylindrical sieve wall and a pressing apparatus disposed therein which has a rotatable shaft and separators radially fastened to the latter which form a plurality of press chambers. These are separated by a radially acting pressing means into a pressure chamber and a press chamber. To fill and empty the press chambers a charging station and a discharge station are provided. The sieve wall is stationary and the pressure chambers are sealed hermetically one from the other. Lastly, means are provided for rotating the shaft step-wise and thereby placing the press chambers step-wise successively at the charging station and at the discharge station.

Eine Presse zum Auspressen von Preßgut (6) in Form von flüssigkeitshaltigen Stoffen, insbesondere Maischen, enthält eine zumindest teilweise zylindrische Siebwand (4) und eine in dieser angeordnete Preßvorrichtung, die eine drehbare Achse (16) und radial an dieser befestigte Zwischenwände (17) aufweist, die eine Mehrzahl von Preßkammern (18) bilden. Diese sind durch je ein radial wirksames Preßelement (20) in je einen Druckraum (21) und einen Preßraum (22) getrennt. Zum Füllen bzw. Entleeren der Preßräume ist je eine Eintrags- und Austragsstation (3,5,6,14 bzw. 19) vorgesehen. Die Siebwand (4) ist stationär angeordnet, und die Druckräume (21) sind druckmitteldicht gegeneinander abgedichtet. Schließlich sind Mittel vorgesehen, um die Achse (16) schrittweise in Umdrehungen zu versetzen und dadurch die Preßkammern (18) schrittweise nacheinander an der Eintrags- bzw. Austragsstation anzuordnen (Fig. 1).
