1. Device for manufacturing a deep-drawn seal diaphragm (7) for cans and other small containers, with a female mould (M) and a male mould (P) for forming a can cover part (8) insertable in the can body, a securing element (L) for a diaphragm collar (9) extending over the can rim, and a severing tool (T) which, from the inside, almost completely severs the diaphragm collar (9) from the can cover part (8), characterised by an annular cutting knife (1) made of spring steel as the severing tool (T), said knife having a cutting edge (2) at its external circumference and being constructed as a cup spring, and being shaped so as to extend upwards from the cutting edge (2) to its inside aperture (3), and by a press ram (5) which is adapted to be moved perpendicularly to the projection plane of the annular cutting knife (1) and, as it moves, forces the cutting edge (2) outwards.

1. Tiefgezogene Verschlußmembrane 2.1 Bei der Anwendung tiefgezogener Verschlußmembranen als Vershlußeinrichtung für Dosen od. dgl. müssen der Membrankragen und der Dosenüberdeckungsteil voneinander getrennt sein. Beim Stand der Technik erfolgt dies entweder bei eingesetzter Verschlußmembrane in die Dose oder vorher durch außen an der verformten Verschlußmembrane wirksame Arbeitswerkzeuge. 2.2 Um das Herstellungsverfahren zu vereinfachen und trotzdem eine sauber trennbare Verschlußmembrane zu schaffen, die aber noch handhabbar ist, wird ein von innen auf die Verschlußmembrane wirkendes, einfach ausgebildetes und leicht zu betreibendes Schneidwerkzeug vorgeschlagen, das durch einen Druckstempel bewegt ein teilweises Einschneiden der Verschlußmembrane zwischen Membrankragen und Dosenüberdeckungsteil bewirkt.
