Nach der Erfindung werden vor dem Aufstreuen des Formkörpers die Randzonen des Formbandes (1) von einem mitlaufenden Abdeckband (2) abgedeckt, wodurch die starke Verschmutzung des Formbandes vermieden ist. Die Erfindung ist sowohl bei der kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Gipsfaserplatten wie auch bei Faserplatten, Spanplatten oder dgl. verwendbar.
