Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0309433A2] Process in which a lubricating agent is introduced into the ingot mould through at least one passage orifice arranged in the wall of this ingot mould. A lubricating agent is employed in the form of substantially spherical beads whose diameter is not greater than 1.5 mm and is preferably between 20 mu m and 800 mu m. The beads consist of glass, preferably of a soda-lime glass. The lubricating agent has an initial softening temperature of between 400 DEG C and 800 DEG C.
