Abstract (en)
A method is described for reducing the exhaust gas temperature before said gases enter an exhaust gas catalyser. For this purpose, a component of the exhaust gas flow is removed from the exhaust gas system (2) downstream of the exhaust gas catalyser (6), and is fed back into this exhaust gas flow upstream of the exhaust gas catalyser. That cooling component of the exhaust gas flow, particularly in the feedback lines (8a, 8b), in this case reduces the temperature level of the exhaust gas located in front of the exhaust gas catalyser. In the feedback lines there are provided non-return valves (9) which prevent the exhaust gas being branched off upstream of the catalyser but free the path for the component of the flow to be fed back because of the underpressure which occurs periodically in the exhaust gas elbows. A conveyor device (12) is alternately provided for the flow component which is to be fed back. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Beschrieben ist ein Verfahren zur Herabsetzung der Temperatur von Abgasen vor ihrem Eintritt in einen Abgaskatalysator. Dazu wird stromab des Abgaskatalysators (6) aus der Abgasanlage (2) ein Abgasteilstrom entnommen, welcher dieser stromauf des Abgaskatalysators wieder zugeführt wird. Jener sich insbesondere in den Rückführleitungen (8a, 8b) abkühlender Abgasteilstrom senkt dabei das Temperaturniveau des vor dem Abgaskatalysator befindlichen Abgases. In den Rückführleitungen sind Rückschlagventile (9) vorgesehen, welche verhindern, daß Abgas stromauf des Katalysators abgezweigt wird, den Weg für den zurückzuführenden Teilstrom aufgrund des in den Abgaskrümmern periodisch auftretenden Unterdruckes jedoch freigeben. Alternativ ist eine Fördervorrichtung (12) für den rückzuführenden Teilstrom vorgesehen.
