A device for the automatic manufacture of a cutting die having a sharp cutting edge, in particular for label cutting appliances, from a cutting body provided with a raised ridge. To avoid the hitherto manual finishing of the ridge produced by etching or in another way, a largely automatically working device is proposed which has a support (6) for the cutting body, a tool (56) with a roof-shaped notch facing the support (6), a first drive device (64) for the automatic reciprocating movement of the tool (56) in the direction of the support (6), and further drive devices (15, 37, 51, 62) intended for producing relative movements between the support (6) and the tool (56), by means of which the tool (56) can be automatically guided along the ridge (22) (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur automatischen Herstellung eines eine scharfe Schneidkante aufweisenden Stanzwerkzeugs, insbesondere für Etikettenschneidgeräte, aus einem mit einem erhaben vorstehenden Grat versehenen Stanzkörper. Zur Vermeidung der bisher manuellen Fertigbearbeitung des durch Ätzen oder auf andere Weise hergestellten Grates wird eine weitgehend automatisch arbeitende Vorrichtung vorgeschlagen, die eine Auflage (6) für den Stanzkörper, ein Werkzeug (56) mit einer der Auflage (6) zugewandten, dachförmigen Kerbe, eine erste Antriebsvorrichtung (64) zur selbsttätigen Hin- und Herbewegung des Werkzeugs (56) in Richtung der Auflage (6) und zur Herstellung von Relativbewegungen zwischen der Auflage (6) und dem Werkzeug (56) bestimmte weitere Antriebsvorrichtungen (15,37,51,62) aufweist, mittels derer das Werkzeug (56) selbsttätig am Grat (22) entlang führbar ist (Fig. 1).
