A merry-go-round, wherein passenger carriers (5), situated at the ends of passenger extension arms (3), are intended to execute an undulating movement. In order to simplify the complexity in terms of the transmission and to increase the economic efficiency of the merry-go-round, provision is made for the passenger extension arms (3) to be linked on the one hand to a lower live ring (2) and, on the other hand, via connecting rods (10) to an upper live ring (11) and for the upper live ring (11) to be mounted on a swivel frame (13). Starting from the main axis (25) of the merry-go-round, this swivel frame (13) extends in the radial direction up to a swivel bearing (15) which is located in the vicinity of the attachment point (12) of the connecting rods (10) to the upper live ring (11). The swivel bearing (15) belongs to an extension arm (14) which is mounted on the merry-go-round so as to be rotatable about the main axis (25). The swivel frame (10) is connected in an articulated manner to a lifting motor (18) which is supported on a hub (16) of the merry-go-round, which hub rotates about the main axis (25). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung befaßt sich mit einem Karussell, bei dem an den Enden von Fahrgast-Auslegern (3) befindliche Fahrgastträger (5) eine Berg- und Talkurvenbewegung ausführen sollen. Um den getriebetechnischen Aufwand zu vereinfachen und die Wirtschaftlichkeit des Karussells zu erhöhen, sieht die Erfindung vor, die Fahrgast-Ausleger (3) einerseits an einem unteren Drehkranz (2) und andererseits an einem oberen Drehkranz (11) über Zugstangen (10) anzulenken und den oberen Drehkranz (11) an einem Schwenkrahmen (13) zu lagern. Dieser Schwenkrahmen (13) erstreckt sich ausgehend von der Grundachse (25) des Karussells in radialer Richtung bis zu einem Schwenklager (15), das in der Nähe der Anlenkstelle (12) der Zugstangen (10) am oberen Drehkranz (11) liegt. Das Schwenklager (15) gehört zu einem Ausleger (14), der um die Grundachse (25) am Karussell drehbar gelagert ist. Der Schwenkrahmen (10) ist mit einem Hubmotor (18) gelenkig verbunden, der sich an einer um die Grundachse (25) rotierenden Nabe (16) des Karussells abstützt.
