Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0246874A] PURPOSE: To enable automatic adjustment of a toe-piece, by making a composition so that at least one pressing spring is supported at its end to the bent part formed in the carriage and the other end is in contact with the binding member. CONSTITUTION: The carriage 11 has a bent part 11a bent toward the bottom in its half part adjacent to a swinging journal 5, and on its bottom face a U-shaped wire yoke 17 is arranged. Its web 14 is in contact with the bent part 11a and its leg part 17b is supported in the long hole 16c cut on the bent part 16b of an insertion piece 16. And in the leg part 17b a pressing spring 18 is set in between the bent part 11a of the carriage 11 and the bent part 16b of the insertion piece 16, which compensates for inaccuracies at the time of binding and also compensates for the change in length of fastened ski boots due to the temperature changes. Consequently, automatic fine adjustment of toe-piece is made available. As a result, the binding between toe-piece and guide plate is no longer rigid and small relative movements become possible.
