Abstract (en)
There is used an auxiliary device which consists of a plate (11) curved in a shell-like manner about an axis and of a flexible sheet-like structure (14) fastened to a rear edge of the plate (11). The plate (11) is introduced with a front edge (12) into the nip between two mutually adjacent pressing rolls (5,6) and is moved round one (6) of the two rolls (5,6) into the nip between this roll (6) and a third roll (7). An initial portion of a lap (4) is laid onto the flexible sheet-like structure (14). The plate (11) and the sheet-like structure (14) are then moved further until the lap (4) comes out upwards through the nip in front of the third roll (7). The lap (4) can thus be guided reliably round the underside of the said one roll (6), even when this underside is inaccessible. <IMAGE>

Es wird ein Hilfsgerät verwendet, das aus einer schalenförmig um eine Achse gekrümmten Platte (11) und einem an einem hinteren Rand der Platte (11) befestigten biegsamen Flächengebilde (14) besteht. Die Platte (11) wird mit einem vorderen Rand (12) in dem Spalt zwischen zwei benachbarten Kalanderwalzen (5, 6) eingeführt und um eine (6) der beiden Walzen (5, 6) herumbewegt, bis in den Spalt zwischen dieser Walze (6) und einer dritten Walze (7). Ein Anfangsabschnitt eines Wattebandes (4) wird auf das biegsame Flächengebilde (14) aufgelegt. Die Platte (11) und das Flächengebilde (14) werden dann weiterbewegt, bis das Watteband (4) durch den Spalt vor der dritten Walze (7) nach oben austritt. So kann das Watteband (4) sicher um die Unterseite der genannten einen Walze (6) herumgeführt werden, auch wenn diese Unterseite nicht zugänglich ist.
