Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH0237166A] PURPOSE: To ensure a predetermined relatively high pressure to be the end control pressure by having a pressure maintenance valve arranged in a reservoir chamber to function as the valve that opens away from the reservoir chamber. CONSTITUTION: A plunger 1 is supported in a casing 3 which has a suction chamber 4. Fuel is delivered into the suction chamber via a pipe joint member 5, and excess fuel is discharged from the suction chamber. A plunger 2 closes a control hole 7 by means of an upper edge 6 thereof during the lift process of the plunger. Before that, fuel pressure is already formed by the lift of the plunger 2 in a reservoir chamber 9 for throttling the fuel displaced from a pump chamber 8. A collection chamber is formed as the reservoir chamber 9 having a pressure maintenance valve 11. The pressure maintenance valve 11 is formed as the valve that opens away from the reservoir chamber 9.
