[origin: EP0405121A2] So that, despite a breakdown in an individual machine, a production plant can continue to operate in the remaining individual machines thereof, to be precise a plant for making large packages in the form of cartoned packs of groups of small packages of paper handkerchiefs, having a folding machine (21) for making the handkerchiefs and grouping them into stacks, having a packaging machine (22) for wrapping the stacks in a film for forming a small package, having a stacker (23) for forming groups of small packages, having a packing machine (24) for wrapping the groups in a film to form a pack and having a cartoning machine (25) for introducing the packs into a carton and closing thereof for forming large packages, a storage unit (27) for, as required, receiving, intermediate storage and delivery of small packages is inserted into the production plant in the direction of production downstream of the packaging machine.
