The invention relates to a method for filling and/or sealing gaps, cavities or interstices which are formed when printing plates which are resistant to alcoholic printing ink solvents are attached to a plate cylinder, by means of a photocurable sealing or filling compound of at least one photopolymerisable, ethylenically unsaturated low molecular weight compound (a), at least one polymeric binder (b) which is compatible with the photopolymerisable low molecular weight compounds of component (a), at least one photopolymerisation initiator (c) and conventional auxiliaries and additives (d). Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Verschließen und/oder Abdichten von Öffnungen, Hohl- oder Zwischenräumen, die beim Aufbringen von gegenüber alkoholischen Druckfarbenlösungsmitteln beständigen Druckplatten auf einem Formzylinder gebildet werden, mittels einer lichthärtbaren Dicht- bzw. Verschlußmasse aus mindestens einer photopolymerisierbaren, ethylenisch ungesättigten niedermolekularen Verbindung (a), mindestens einem polymeren Bindemittel (b), das mit den photopolymerisierbaren niedermolekularen Verbindungen der Komponente (a) verträglich ist, mindestens einem Photopolymerisationsinitiator (c), sowie üblichen Hilfs- und Zusatzstoffen (d). Diese Dicht- bzw. Verschlußmasse wird nach ihrer Applikation durch Belichtung ausgehärtet und kann mechanisch nachbearbeitet werden.
