The invention relates to a honing tool (1) for machining the working surfaces (8) of cylinder bores (7) of an internal combustion engine. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Honwerkzeug (1) zur Oberflächenbearbeitung der Zylinderlaufflächen (8) von Zylinderbohrungen (7) einer Brennkraftmaschine. Um über die gesamte Oberfläche (8) der Zylinderbohrung (7) eine gleichmäßige Plateaustruktur zu erzielen, ist vorgesehen, die unter radialem Druck an die Bohrungswand (8) anlegbaren Arbeitselemente (10) als etwa koaxial zur Längsachse (3) des Honwerkzeugs (1) angeordnete Honringe (10) nach Art von Kolbenringen auszubilden.
