[origin: WO8910300A1] A pusher turboprop engine is provided with an interior exhaust duct structure (42, 45, 51) which directs the hot turbine gases through and out of the engine nacelle and around the rear spinner (52) which surrounds the propeller hub. The rotating spinner includes blade-shaped shields (55) which protect the roots of the propeller blades from the hot exhaust gases and also pulls warmed cooling air through the engine nacelle thereby providing a rearwardly directed jet thrust to augment the propeller thrust.

Un turbopropulseur est pourvu d'une structure (42, 45, 51) de conduit d'échappement intérieur qui dirige les gaz chauds de la turbine au travers et hors du compartiment moteur et autour du capot arrière (52) qui entoure le moyeu d'hélice. Le capot rotatif comprend des boucliers (52) en forme de pales qui protègent les racines des pales de l'hélice contre les gaz chauds d'échappement, et ce capot rotatif sert également à tirer de l'air de refroidissement réchauffé au travers du compartiment moteur créant ainsi une poussée vers l'arrière qui augmente la poussée de propulsion.
