Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0443438A2] The warning of persons in the track area of approaching trains by means of addressable signalling stations installed at the track which detect trains and which forward train-indicating status information via a high-frequency communications channel to an addressable warning station which is located in the working area of the persons and which is capable of transmitting an alarm is achieved despite concatenated information transmission and contact with adjacent installations by means of stations operating in time-division multiplex which identify free transmission time slots through direct reception and time slots indirectly reported by other stations as occupied.
