Après avoir usiné un lamage (4), on repousse le fond de ce lamage au moyen de galets (31) entraînés en mouvement orbital, l'angle que la surface d'attaque des galets forme avec l'axe (Y-Y) de l'ouverture (2) étant progressivement réduit au fur et à mesure de l'avance du porte-galets (28). Application à la formation de lèvres de raccordement autour des ouvertures d'une virole de cuve de réacteur nucléaire. <IMAGE>
