The invention relates to a delivery device for running yarns, especially for feeding these to yarn-processing machines, such as, for example, for the insertion of the weft yarn into a weaving machine, in which device the yarn is fed tangentially to a drum connected to a rotary drive and is taken off from this again by means of a draw-off force acting on the far side of the drum, the yarn looping round only part of the circumference of the drum rotating at a circumferential speed higher than the yarn draw-off speed and being capable of being brought, by means of the draw-off force applied tangentially relative to the drum, into slipping engagement with the drum outer surface, and at least two drums adjacent to one another in an axis-parallel manner being so subdivided by fixed partition walls that each of the drums forms a plurality of regions, located in succession in the direction of the drum axis, for part looping by the yarn, in such a way that the yarn passes over from the region of the drum onto the region of the other drum. To optimise the operating mode of a delivery device of this type, the invention proposes that the drum outer surface have a radially outward-directed annular collar (R) in alignment with the plane of each of the partition walls (47, 48). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Liefervorrichtung für laufende Fäden, insbesondere zur Zubringung derselben zu fadenverarbeitetenden Maschinen, wie beispielsweise zum Eintrag des Schußfadens in eine Webmaschine, bei welcher Vorrichtung der Faden einer mit einem Drehantrieb verbundenen Trommel tangential zugeführt und durch eine jenseits der Trommel wirkende Abzugskraft wieder von dieser abgenommen wird, wobei der Faden nur einen Teilumfang der mit einer gegenüber der Fadenabzugsgeschwindigkeit höheren Umfangsgeschwindigkeit drehenden Trommel umschlingt und über die tangential zur Trommel liegende Abzugskraft in Schlupfmitnahme zur Trommelmantelfläche bringbar ist und wobei mindestens zwei einander achsparallel benachbarte Trommeln durch ortfest stehende Zwischenwände so unterteilt sind, daß jede der Trommeln mehrere in Trommelachsrichtung hintereinander liegende Bereiche zur Teilumschlingung durch den Faden bildet derart, daß der Faden vom Bereich der Trommel auf den Bereich der anderen Trommel übertritt. Zur Optimierung der Arbeitsweise einer derartigen Liefervorrichtung schlägt die Erfindung vor, daß die Trommelmantelfläche fluchtend zur Ebene der Zwischenwände (47, 48) je einen radial auswärts gerichteten Ringkragen (R) besitzt. <IMAGE>
