Bei einer Stauchpresse (1) zur Breitenreduktion von Walzgut (2), insbesondere der Brammenbreite in Warmbreitband-Vorstraßen mit beidseitig zur Brammenkante angeordneten Preßwerkzeuge (7) aufnehmenden Werkzeugträgern (8), welche mit Hilfe eines von mindestens einem Kurbeltrieb (17) betätigten Lenkersystems (Pleuel 14) in Richtung der Brammenreduktion bewegbar sind, wird vorgeschlagen, daß der Pleuelkopf (15) des Kurbeltriebs (17) in einer entsprechend ausgeformten Druckpfanne (16) des Werkzeugträgers (8) beweglich gelagert ist und daß der Pleuelkopf (15) eine Gleitbandage (18) mit hydrostatischer Druckschmierung aufweist, die mindestens der Berührungslänge der Druckpfanne (16) entspricht, so daß die hochbelasteten Gleitflächen zwischen Pleuelkopf und Druckpfanne selbst bei geringer Relativbewegung zueinander eine sichere und ausreichende Fettschmierung erhalten. <IMAGE>
