Apparatuses for coating both sides of a web (4) of material, in particular of a web of paper or cardboard, are known which have two pressing rollers (1, 2) arranged one next to the other, between which rollers a pressing gap (3) is formed through which the web (4) is guided. An application and metering system (6, 7) is arranged on each pressing roller (1, 2) outside the area of the pressing gap (3) and applies a metered film of coating material to each pressing roller (1, 2) which is subsequently transferred onto the web (4) in the pressing gap (3). According to the invention, a measuring device (8, 9) for continuously determining the amount of coating material applied to the rollers (1, 2) is arranged on each pressing roller (1, 2) in the direction of rotation behind the application and metering system (6, 7) and in front of the pressing gap (3). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Es sind Vorrichtungen zum beidseitigen Beschichten einer Materialbahn (4), insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn, bekannt, die zwei nebeneinander angeordnete Preßwalzen (1, 2) aufweisen, zwischen denen ein Preßspalt (3) ausgebildet ist, durch den die Bahn (4) geführt wird. An jeder Preßwalze (1, 2) ist außerhalb des Bereichs des Preßspalts (3) ein Auftrag- und Dosiersystem (6, 7) angeordnet, das einen dosierten Film von Beschichtungsmaterial auf jede Preßwalze (1, 2) aufträgt, der anschließend in dem Preßspalt (3) an die Bahn (4) übergeben wird. Nach der Erfindung ist an jeder Preßwalze (1, 2) in Drehrichtung hinter dem Auftrag- und Dosiersystem (6, 7) und vor dem Preßspalt (3) eine Meßeinrichtung (8, 9) zur kontinuierlichen Bestimmung der auf die Walzen (1, 2) aufgetragenen Beschichtungsmaterialmenge angeordnet. <IMAGE>
