The invention relates to a method of and a device for the continuous production of an expanded metalliforme band. The object of the invention is to specify a method and a device for carrying out the method, with which an expanded metalliforme band can be produced in an extremely simple and continuous manner from a metal band having the features of the preamble of Claim 1. This object is achieved by the method according to the invention in that the metal band is constantly gripped in the region of the lateral edges by feed means, and in that tension means are provided which constantly subject the central region of the metal band to a tensile force during the feed movement. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung eines streckmetallartigen, ebenen Bandes. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zu dessen Durchführung aufzuzeigen, mit welchen in außerordentlich einfacher und kontinuierlicher Weise aus einem Metallband mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffes des Anspruches 1 ein streckmetallartiges, ebenes Band herstellbar ist. Diese Aufgabe wird nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren dadurch gelöst, daß das Metallband im Bereich der Seitenkanten von Vorschubmitteln laufend erfaßt wird und daß Zugmittel vorgesehen sind, welche den Mittelbereich des Metallbandes während der Vorschubbewegung laufend einer Zugkraft unterwerfen. <IMAGE>
