There are socket contacts which can be inserted into housing bores in a lockable manner. For this purpose, the socket contacts have slots (11) which are open to the free end of the contact section. Furthermore, at its free end, the contact section has an outwardly pointing, annular latching shoulder (10) with which the socket contact can latch in behind a housing projection. In order, on the one hand, to ensure reliable seating of the socket contact in the housing bore it is necessary for the annular latching shoulder to have an adequate radial extent. On the other hand, a large radial extent of the latching shoulder leads to the slots also having to be constructed relatively large. In order to achieve reliable seating of the socket contact with a simultaneously narrow construction of slots, it is proposed that the external circumference of the annular latching shoulder (10) be flattened in the region of the slots (11). <IMAGE>

Es gibt Buchsenkontakte, die in Gehäusebohrungen verriegelbar eingesteckt werden können. Hierzu weisen die Buchsenkontakte zum freien Ende des Kontaktabschnitts offene Schlitze (11) auf. Der Kontaktabschnitt weist darüber hinaus an seinem freien Ende eine nach außen gerichtete, ringförmige Rastschulter (10) auf, mit der der Buchsenkontakt hinter einem Gehäusevorsprung einrasten kann. Um einerseits einen sicheren Sitz des Buchsenkontaktes in der Gehäusebohrung sicherzustellen, ist es erforderlich, daß die ringförmige Rastschalter eine ausreichende radiale Erstreckung aufweist. Andererseits führt eine große radiale Erstreckung der Rastschulter dazu, daß auch die Schlitze relativ groß ausgebildet sein müssen. Um einen sicheren Sitz des Buchsenkontaktes bei gleichzeitig schmaler Ausbildung der Schlitze zu erreichen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß der Außenumfang der ringförmigen Rastschulter (10) im Bereich der Schlitze (11) abgeflacht ist. <IMAGE>
