Rotary cutting apparatus including a framework supporting, between two vertical uprights (2), two superimposed cutting cylinders (4, 5), the two opposite coaxial stub axles (4b) of the upper cutting cylinder (4) being mounted respectively with rotation in two opposite bearing blocks (9) capable of sliding vertically whereas the two opposite stub axles of the lower cutting cylinder (5) are mounted with rotation in two bearing blocks (10) capable of sliding vertically on the two uprights, each of the upper bearing blocks (9) being extended by an overhanging part (9a) subjected to the action of a pressurising thrust cylinder, whereas each of the lower bearing blocks (10) is extended by an overhanging part (10a) above a stop piece (11), characterised in that it comprises, between each pair of upper bearing blocks (9) and lower bearing blocks (10), a wedge allowing the two blocks to bear on one another and in that the vertical plane containing the axis of each thrust cylinder is located between the vertical plane in which the wedge arranged between the bearing blocks (9, 10) is located and the vertical plane of the races (6, 5) of the two cylinders. <IMAGE>

Appareil de découpage rotatif comportant un bâti supportant, entre deux montants verticaux (2), deux cylindres de coupe superposés (4,5), les deux fusées coaxiales opposées (4b) du cylindre de coupe supérieur (4) étant montées respectivement à rotation dans deux blocs paliers opposés (9) pouvant coulisser verticalement tandis que les deux fusées opposées du cylindre de coupe inférieur (5) sont montées à rotation dans deux blocs paliers (10), pouvant coulisser verticalement sur les deux montants, chacun des blocs paliers supérieurs (9) étant prolongé par une partie en porte-à-faux (9a) soumise à l'action d'un vérin de mise en pression, tandis que chacun des blocs paliers inférieurs (10) est prolongé par une partie en porte-à-faux (10a) au-dessus d'une butée (11), caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend, entre chaque paire de blocs paliers supérieur (9) et inférieur (10), une cale permettant un appui des deux blocs l'un sur l'autre et en ce que le plan vertical contenant l'axe de chaque vérin est situé entre le plan vertical dans lequel est située la cale disposée entre les blocs paliers (9,10) et le plan vertical des chemins de roulement (6,5) des deux cylindres. <IMAGE>
