Abstract (en)
With a mould for the continuous casting of steel strip or thin slabs with cooled broad-side walls (1, 2) and narrow-side walls (3, 4), the broad-side walls form a funnel-shaped pour-in region (5, 8) which is reduced towards the narrow-side walls (3, 4) and in the casting direction to the format of the cast strip (6). The curvature of the pour-in region (5, 8) is defined by lateral circular arcs Rs and central circular arcs Rm connected to the latter at tangential points T. <??>To reduce friction and wear and to reduce the tensile and bending load on the strand shell, the radii (RsI - II) of the lateral circular arcs from the mould top edge are constant in a section (10) of the pour-in region (5, 8) extending from a point at least 100 mm down from the mould top edge. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Kokille zum Stranggießen von Stahlband oder Dünnbrammen mit gekühlten Breitseitenwänden (1, 2) und Schmalseitenwänden (3, 4), bilden die Breitseitenwände einen trichterförmigen Eingießbereich (5, 8), der zu den Schmalseitenwänden (3, 4) und in Gießrichtung auf das Format des gegossenen Bandes (6) reduziert ist. Die Wölbung des Eingießbereichs (5, 8) ist durch seitliche Kreisbögen Rs und an Tangentpunkten T mit diesen verbundene mittlere Kreisbögen Rm bestimmt. Zur Reibungs- und Verschleißminderung und zur Reduzierung der Zug- und Biegebeanspruchung der Strangschale sind die Radien (RsI - II) der seitlichen Kreisbögen von der Kokillenoberkante in einem mindestens 100 mm von der Kokillenoberkante abwärts reichenden Abschnitt (10) des Eingießbereichs (5, 8) gleichbleibend. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
