The invention relates to a steel mould (11), in particular high temperature-resistant hot-work steel for the production of shaped castings from metal, the mould having, perpendicular to its surface, pins (12), tubes or jacket elements (22) made of a material of good thermal conductivity, the melting point of which is above 950 DEG C. The head of the said elements has a clearance (15) from the finished mould surface and the ratio of the thickness to the clearance of the head is between 1 : 1 and 1 : 3 and the end of the pin etc. is connected to a cooling system (17, 18) known per se. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Form aus Stahl (11), insbesondere hochhitzebeständigem Warmarbeitsstahl für Metallformguss, wobei die Form senkrecht zur Formoberfläche liegende Stifte (12), Röhrchen oder Mantelelemente (22) aus einem gut wärmeleitenden Material besitzt, dessen Schmelzpunkt oberhalb 95o °C liegt und deren Kopf einen Abstand (15) von der fertigbearbeiteten Formoberfläche besitzt und das Verhältnis von Dicke zu Abstand des Kopfes zwischen 1 : 1 und 1 : 3 liegt und das Ende des Stiftes etc. an ein an sich bekanntes Kühlsystem (17,18) angebunden ist. <IMAGE>
