The invention relates to a coating apparatus for applying a coating colour onto a paper web, having the following features: 1.1 A coating member, for example a roll or a nozzle; 1.2 A back-up roll, which is wrapped around by the paper web and which forms with the coating member a coating zone; 1.3 A measuring device for measuring the thickness or the weight or the surface condition of the coating at several points of the width of the paper web (coating profile measurement). The invention is characterized by the following features: 1.4 The coating zone is preceded by means for controlling zone by zone the coating colour arriving in the coating zone with regard to a uniform coating profile over the width of the web; 1.5 The means serve for influencing zone by zone the throughput of coating colour on its flow path from the coating-colour inflow to the coating zone, or the temperature of the coating colour, or the consistency of the coating colour.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Auftragswerk zum Auftragen von Streichfarbe auf eine Papierbahn, mit den folgenden Merkmalen: 1.1 Ein Auftragsorgan, z.B. eine Walze oder eine Düse; 1.2 eine Gegenwalze, die von der Papierbahn umschlungen ist, und die mit dem Auftragsorgan eine Auftragszone bildet; 1.3 eine Meßeinrichtung zum Messen der Stärke oder des Gewichtes oder der Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Strichs an mehreren Stellen der Papierbahnbreite (Strichprofilmessung). Die Erfindung ist gekennzeichnet durch die folgenden Merkmale: 1.4 der Auftragszone sind Mittel vorgeschaltet, um die in der Auftragszone ankommende Streichfarbe im Hinblick auf ein über die Bahnbreite gleichmäßiges Strichprofil zonenweise zu regeln; 1.5 die Mittel dienen dem zonenweisen Beeinflussen des Durchsatzes an Streichfarbe auf deren Strömungsweg vom Streichfarben-Zulauf zur Auftragszone, oder der Temperatur der Streichfarbe, oder der Konsistenz der Streichfarbe.
