[origin: EP0585211A1] Railway vehicle with a gantry chassis which is arranged between opposite ends of two successive wagons of a wagon fitting, in each case one floorplate (1, 2) protruding out from both ends of the wagon body in order to form a passage between the wagons. The two floorplates (1, 2) are connected to one another by means of a joint, preferably a spherical joint (3). In order to transmit the forces produced by the lateral twisting of the wagon body when going round bends and as a result of unevennesses in the track, the floorplates (1, 2) are connected to one another by means of connecting beams (11) which are flexible and twistable and are connected at their ends to the floorplates (1, 2) by means of elastic connections. <IMAGE>
