[origin: EP0585611A2] A power resistor for liquid cooling is proposed, in the case of which at least one resistor element is arranged above insulating panels between two metallic flat housings. Each flat housing (1a....1f) has two internal cooling-liquid collecting spaces (10,10a,10b,11,11a), a flat channel (12,12a,12b) connecting the two cooling-liquid collecting spaces to one another. The cooling-liquid collecting channels (10,10a,10b,11,11a) have openings (13 to 16, 28 to 31) for the liquid inlet and outlet. At least one resistor element (3,4) is in each case located in the intermediate space (interspace) (2a....2e) formed between the two flat housings and is in thermal contact with the flat channel (12,12a,12b). <IMAGE>
