[origin: EP0593079A1] A switch, consisting of an upper base block (1) and a lower base block (2); line connecting means (22, 22') which are connected to a stationary contact pin (23); and an operating mechanism via which a moving actuating element mechanism is operated in order to form an electrically conductive current path between the line connecting means, via the said actuating element mechanism. The invention is characterised in that the actuating element mechanism comprises a centrally supported contact rocker (26) which can rock about a horizontal balance position and to which a downwardly directed contact arm (27) is permanently connected, which is depressed by means of an oscillating movement against the stationary contact pin (23), in order to form an electrically conductive current path. <IMAGE>
