Date Jun. 9, 1994A device for grinding a cylinder surface is provided, the cylinder being one of at least three substantially parallel, axially offset cylinders. The device includes a central body member and at least three supporting elements, each of the supporting elements being associated with a corresponding one of the cylinders, the supporting elements supporting the central body member relative to the cylinders. One or more belt grinder assemblies are provided, each belt grinder assembly including a belt grinder and a device for mounting the belt grinder on the central body member. Each belt grinder includes a contact wheel, an abrasive belt, extending around the contact wheel, and a device for supporting the contact wheel relative to a one of the cylinders to be ground. The supporting device includes a device for adjusting a position of the contact wheel relative to the one of the cylinders to be ground.

Ce dispositif de rectification présente un châssis (2) avec trois paires d'éléments de support disposés en étoile (61, 62, 63) qui s'appuient par l'intermédiaire de pieds (81, 82) de manière mobile sur une base, c'est-à-dire des cylindres (Z1, Z2, Z3). Une rectifieuse à bande abrasive (24) est fixée sur le châssis (2) et comporte un bras porteur pivotant (26) qui porte un support (28) pour un disque de contact (30). Entre le support (28) et la base (Z1, Z2, Z3) se trouve un dispositif de support (38) comprenant une réglette de guidage (42) qui guide le disque de contact avec précision. Ce dispositif de rectification peut être utilisé entre des cylindres très proches les uns des autres (Z1, Z2, Z3), le châssis (2) s'appuyant sur les cylindres (Z1, Z2, Z3), ce qui permet de rectifier très aisément ces cylindres sans qu'il soit nécessaire de les démonter.
