Eine Stranggießanlage, deren Strangführungssegmente (1) mit über die veränderlich einstellbare Breite des Stranges verteilt angeordneten, in Stranglaufrichtung (2) ggfs. in Kühlzonen (4, 5, 6) unterteilten, an Querverteilerrohren (9) angeschlossenen Spritzelementen, insbesondere Spritzlatten (7 bzw. 8a, 8b, 8c), versehen sind wird das Kühlsystem verbessert, wenn die über die minimale Strangbreite hinausgehend angeordneten, äußeren Spritzlatten (8a, 8b, 8c) abhängig von der jeweiligen Strangbreite zu- bzw. abschaltbar sind. <IMAGE>
