Abstract (en)
In an automated customer interaction device such as an automated teller machine (ATM), a digital camera, under program control, provides a visual record of a transaction by recording the facial image of the client involved in the transaction. The digital visual image is compressed and stored for a preselected period of time. When a question arises with respect to a transaction, the compressed image can be retrieved and reconstructed. The reconstructed image can be used to determine the participant in the questioned activity. <IMAGE>
