Abstract (en)
A process is claimed for the fabrication of a ceramic shell mould for an investment casting foundry, consisting of: producing a model (1) in two parts (2,4) in a material that will be eliminated by fusion, sublimation or thermal degradation; assembling the two parts (2,4) of the model (1) by sticking them together to form a model (1) with an internal hollow or cavity (12); filling the internal cavity (12) with a ceramic material; simultaneous or subsequent prodn. of a shell mould in a ceramic material including the filled model which can be eliminated to leave a foundry mould with an internal core produced in situ.
