Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0715240A1] The voltage regulator includes a first current source (11) which comprises two bipolar transistors connected between earth and a first resistance (R22) fed from a low-voltage DC supply (Vcc). It is controlled by the voltage developed across a second resistance (R21) by the current (I) drawn from the second source (14) in MOS technology. The second current source is connected in a current-mirror arrangement to a third current source (15) also in MOS technology whose drain electrode constitutes the output terminal (S) of the regulator. The regulated voltage (Vcs) applied to the load (Q) equals the product of the second source current and second resistance.
