Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19607913A1] The sledge or carriage is used for cleaning out the inside of a pipeline. It has a pointed front end and a body (1) adapted for sliding along the bottom of a horizontal or nearly horizontal pipe. It has hoops (2) which may support the sledge when it is turned upside-down. There is a battery compartment near the bottom of the body and forward (7b) and rearward (7a) looking television cameras or tape recorders. High-pressure water is supplied through a hose from a mobile pumping element on the surface. The hose is connected to the rear face of the sledge and the water flow turns through 180 degrees and exits the rear of the sledge at high speed through several nozzles (4).
Abstract (de)
<IMAGE>
