[origin: US6195843B1] To improve the properties of all-steel card clothings, a saw-toothed wire is proposed with a foot portion and a plurality of teeth arranged consecutively in the lengthwise direction of the wire, the teeth issuing from the foot portion and each tooth ending in a single point, and where the interval between the points of two consecutive teeth is different from the interval between the points of other consecutive teeth.
