Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0922857A1] The secondary winding (Ls) is connected to a spark plug (1) and to a polarizing module (4) which uses a polarizing capacitance (Cp) and Zener diode (Zp) to polarize the plug positively after sparking. The ionization current is amplified (Is) by a PNP transistor and diode (Da) in the amplification module (5) fed from the battery and detected as a voltage (Vs) on a resistor (Rs) in the detecting and conversion unit (6).
