Eine Vorrichtung (10) zum direkten oder indirekten Auftragen eines flüssigen oder pastösen Auftragsmediums (20) auf eine laufende Materialbahn (16), insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, umfaßt ein Auftragswerk (18), welches bei direktem Auftragen das Auftragsmedium (20) an einer Auftragsstelle (S) unmittelbar auf die Materialbahn (16) als Auftragsschicht (24) aufbringt bzw. bei indirektem Auftragen das Auftragsmedium zunächst auf ein Auftragselement, bspw. eine Auftragswalze, aufbringt, welches das Auftragsmedium dann an der Auftragsstelle an die Materialbahn als Auftragsschicht überträgt. Ferner ist in Laufrichtung (L) der Materialbahn (1 6) hinter der Auftragsstelle (S) eine Trocknungsvorrichtung (26) zum Trocknen der Auftragsschicht vorgesehen. Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Auftragsvorrichtung ist darüber hinaus in Laufrichtung (L) der Materialbahn (16) vor der Trocknungsvorrichtung (26) eine Vorrichtung (30, 32, 34) zum Befeuchten oder/und Erwärmen der Materialbahn (16) oder/und des Auftragsmediums (20) bzw. der Auftragsschicht (24) vorgesehen. <IMAGE>
