The threaded pin (10) is screwed into the internal thread as far as the stop on the orifice (11) , and is next axially moved so that the thin-walled material of the cutout part moves outwards to form a ridge. Previously accumulated force supports the tractive force applied during riveting, by means of a compression helical spring.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Setzen von Blindnietmuttern, bei dem der Gewindedorn bis zum Anschlag an das Mundstück in das Muttergewinde eingeschraubt und anschließend axial verschoben wird, so daß das dünnwandige Material des freigeschnittenen Teils nach außen ausweicht und einen Wulst bildet, sowie bei entsprechenden Geräten zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens ist eine Speichereinrichtung vorgesehen, die eine Kraft speichert, mit der die beim Nietvorgang aufgebrachte Zugkraft unterstützt wird. <IMAGE>
