Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9835901A1] A processing channel aligned with respect to a continuous, upwardly open transport channel (1) is arranged above the transport channel (1). The transport channel (1) determines together with the processing channel (2) a processing path, along which are arranged successive supply stations (11-17) for supplying the printed material parts (A to G). The processing channel (2) has individual, successive processing zones (3-10) between which are provided passages (18, 19, 119, 20, 120) through which the printed material parts (A to G) located in the processing channel (2) can reach the underlying transport channel (1). The printed material parts (A to G) are opened or deflected to one or another side during their transport between one processing zone to the next processing zone (3-10). Depending on the design of the processing zones (3-10) and on the arrangement of the passages (18, 19, 119, 20, 120), the inner parts (B to G) are arranged in a particular manner in the end printed material (P), either next to or inside one another.
