Abstract (en)
To form hollow zones in molded components, of metal alloys, the hollow is produced by the insertion of a hollow insert body. The insert is shaped by molding molten metal, or by forging. The insert is a near netting of a metal alloy, or a ceramic which can be melted, or it is a molded grid foam with closed or open pores. The insert can be produced by sand molds, gravity molds, thixo molding or forging, die casting, low pressure casting, counter-pressure casting, or vacuum casting.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Ausbildung von Hohlräumen in, insbesondere durch Gießen, herzustellenden Bauteilen, die vorzugsweise aus Metall-Legierungen geformt werden, wird derart vorgegangen, daß der im herzustellenden Bauteil jeweils vorzusehende Hohlraum als Hohlkörper in Form eines hohlen Einlagekörpers ausgebildet wird, der seinerseits durch eine Schmelze gegossen bzw. durch Schmieden geformt wird.
