Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1018376A2] Roll gaps (s3-s10) of the active roll stands (3-10) are adjusted via hydraulic cylinder units (12) which are controlled by roll gap regulators (13) by whose frame springs of the active roll stands are compensated into fractions. The fractions are separately adjusted for each roll stand. Mill train has active roll stands operating in pairs and being adjustable to roll gaps. The rolled material (11) can be rolled to a final height (h) and a vertical final width (b) by applying rolling forces (F3-F10). Roll gaps (s3-s10) of the active roll stands (3-10) are adjusted via hydraulic cylinder units (12) which are controlled by roll gap regulators (13) by whose frame springs of the active roll stands are compensated into fractions. The fractions are separately adjusted for each roll stand.
