Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1018409A1] The sheet stack separation and processing method uses a planar cutting machine (1) for separation of a small sheet stack from a sheet material stack, supported on a table which is divided into a rear section (5) supporting the residual sheet stack and a relatively movable front section (9) for receiving the cut section of the sheet stack. The latter is displaced perpendicualrr to its feed direction for separation into part stacks, rotated through 90 degrees before feeding back to the table rear section for further cutting. The obtained small stacks (25) are received between a pair of rails for transfer to a subsequent processing station.
