Abstract (en)
The conveyor (1) has a soft, rubbery layer on its surface, of specified thickness and elasticity. As a result of its own weight, and/or pressure from the coating roller, the workpiece is pressed down into this layer. This brings edge recesses on the underside of the workpiece (4) into contact with the surface of the layer. Preferred features: The thickness of the rubbery layer is at least double the depth of the recess. Rubbery layer thickness is 7-9 mm or more. It is made of a foam rubber on a fabric belt 1-4 mm thick. Attachment is by adhesion or vulcanization. A counter roller (9) or guide below the belt supports it against the coating roller (5). Spacing between coating roller and rubbery layer in the non-compressed state is several millimeters less than the thickness of the workpiece in the non-profiled region. It is especially millimeters less than the recess depth. The coating roller is adjacent to a counter-rotating dosing roller (6). The upper reservoir (7) so formed, contains the coating material, and the gap partially controls dosing.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Auftragen von Lack auf die Oberseite flächiger Werkstücke (4), die auf einem umlaufenden Transportband (1) liegen, mittels einer um eine horizontale Achse rotierenden Auftragswalze (5), die auf der Oberseite des Werkstückes abrollt. Wesentlich ist, dass das Transportband (1) an seiner Oberseite eine weiche gummiartige Schicht (1b) aufweist, die so beschaffen ist, dass die Werkstücke (4) durch ihr Eigengewicht oder durch den Anpressdruck der Lackauftragswalze (5) soweit in die gummiartige Schicht (1b) eintauchen, dass auch rückspringende Randbereiche (4b) an der Werkstückunterseite mit der gummiartigen Schicht in Kontakt kommen. <IMAGE>
