The bobbin winder, at an open-end spinning station, has a drive (2,3) to act on the winding bobbin (7) and a yarn layer (5). The bobbin drive (2,3) is a single motor system. The winding yarn tension is adjustable. The winder control (6) has an input to set the winding yarn tension profile, The wound bobbin density is held at a constant value level, set by a given profile in the form of the development of a number of parameters over the length of a bobbin winding cycle. Der Spulenantrieb (2, 3) ist durch einen motorischen Einzelantrieb gebildet, und die Aufwickel-Fadenspannung (FP) ist zur Herstellung einer Spule (7) mit einstellbarem Dichteprofil regelbar. Der motorische Einzelantrieb ermöglicht eine direkte Regelung der Spulgeschwindigkeit und damit der Fadenspannung, ohne dass ein zusätzlicher Prozess erforderlich ist. Es können Spulen der auf OE-Spinnmaschinen üblichen Grösse hergestellt werden und es bestehen auch keine Beschränkungen hinsichtlich der Spulgeschwindigkeit. <IMAGE>
