[origin: US6453709B2] The invention relates to a method for rolling a metal band in a continuous line installation with coupling of the pickling and cold rolling processes. According to the invention, the composition of the pickling fluid is determined to allow the running of the band in the bath at a minimum speed of a few metres per minute, and similar running speeds are maintained in the pickling and rolling sections, during the operating phases, whereas the rolling conditions are determined in order to maintain the requested quality of the band at a minimum rolling speed that may be as low as 1 metre per minute.

L'invention a pour objet un procédé de laminage à froid d'une bande métallique (M) dans une installation en ligne continue avec couplage du décapage et du laminage à froid.Conformément à l'invention, on détermine la composition du fluide de décapage pour permettre le défilement de la bande (M) dans le bain à une vitesse minimale de quelques mètres par minute, et l'on maintient des vitesses de défilement du même ordre dans les sections de décapage (2) et de laminage (3), pendant toutes les phases d'exploitation, les conditions de laminage étant déterminées de façon à pouvoir maintenir la qualité souhaitée de la bande à une vitesse minimale de laminage pouvant descendre jusqu'à 1 mètre par minute.
