The procedure for forming a corner section bounded on three sides entails in one of its stages forming the side walls of the component in the transition region and in the corner region(10) over its entire height(206) to bear upon the form faces(36) of the work tool(16) directly adjacent to the corner region to be manufactured. An Independent claim is included for a plant for forming a corner section bounded on three sides on a flat plate component in which the height(212) of the form faces of the tool is the same or greater than the height(206) of the side walls of the component or height(213) of the projection(194) in the corner region.

Die Erfindung beschreibt ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Bildung einer dreiseitig begrenzten Ecke aus einem ebenflächigen Plattenteil, insbesondere Blech, bei dem die der Ecke benachbarten Seitenränder über einen Großteil ihrer Längserstreckung parallel zum ebenflächigen Plattenteil abgekantet und im Bereich auf die zu bildende Ecke von dem abgekanteten Seitenrand bis zur Ebene des ebenflächigen Plattenteiles in einen geschwungenen Verlauf umgeformt werden. Anschließend wird der vorgeformte Zuschnitt in dem geschwungen verlaufenden Übergangsbereich in einer Schneidevorrichtung mit relativ zueinander verstellbaren Schneidelementen (157, 158) bei Auflage auf eine Richtfläche (204) beschnitten. <IMAGE>
