Communication channels (17) connect a claimant (14) submitting an insurance claim for loss of an insured item, an insurer (10) and suppliers (16), to the claims fulfillment system. The claims fulfillment system automatically coordinates activities between the insurer, the suppliers and the claimant so that the claimant is provided with a claimant-selected product or service by at least one of the suppliers to fulfill the insurance claim.
