[origin: WO0230590A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for bending a line of material (1), especially metal in trapezoidal form, to be used as the web material for welded web profiles. Said method is suitable for bending a line of material (1) using a clamping device (2,3) and a bending device (8,15). Said clamping device fixes the line of material in place, while the bending device effects a bending motion into a bent position and then a return motion, the bending motion being different from the return motion.
