[origin: WO03062606A1] The invention relates to a method for changing the frequency of blades (1), especially turbine blades, for thermal turbo-machines, said blades having a paddle (2) comprising a suction side (6), a pressure side (5), an inlet edge (10), an outlet edge (7) and a blade tip (9), in addition to a blade root (3). The inventive method is characterised in that a metallic coating (8) consisting of a material which is identical to the base material is applied to the tip (9) of the blade (1) which is ready for use, the thickness of the coating (8) on the outlet edge (7) and in the radial direction towards the blade root (3) being continuously reduced.
